Here’s a quick video of one of our latest grooming trailers. One of the first comments that our customers make when they first step into a GT is,

WOW! This is a lot bigger in here than I expected!

Keep in mind, that one of our competitors claim that their smaller trailer has “more room” than our grooming trailer–though they have nothing but a wall on the right side of their table and the left side of the table is shoved right up against the tub.

Great Logo Idea For Home Grooming Business

This logo is great! The K-9 Kaboose is in New Orleans. GT absolutely has the smartest customers in the mobile grooming industry–evidence for that is everywhere. Not only are there less “used” GT Grooming Trailers on the market as a percentage of our sales (as best we can determining), but our customers are set apart from the crown by their creativity as well. PERFECT Dog Washing Salon

This grooming trailer is now in California. I loved building it and was actually sad to see it go! One thing that I loved about this grooming trailer is that, in addition to being nearly flawless, is that the customer was such a great businessman. Just by looking at the logo, one can see that the owner knows what he’s doing. Having started various businesses in the past, he knew to behave differently than average mobile groomers–he decided to be better! Notice his graphic work. See how he did not choose to do what 90% of mobile dog groomers do! Instead of having a “dog in a tub” plastered to the side of the grooming trailer, he chose a more professional route. He used large letters that stand out. He uses a consistent color theme. And even though there are no “dogs in tubs” one cannot look away and forget that he is in fact in the mobile pet grooming business. A+++!

Hi! Patrick; I hope everything is going well for you. I apologize but, I figured you know, I should really try this baby out first before I let you know what I think. So I did. I think you’ll be happy with everything that I have to say.

I purchased my GT grooming salon back in May “09″ and from the moment that i saw it, I was totally impressed with the overall appearance inside and out, and the roominess of the interior is amazing. My customers are always impressed over the amount of room that I have inside my salon and the women always comment “it’s so cute” As for the layout, Pat from GT has the floor plan laid out perfectly and all of your grooming equipment is easily accessible. As for the equipment, everything is top notch, from the Onan generator to the high velocity dryer everything works wonderfully.

Moreover, the GT salon is so easy to keep clean. After a hard day of grooming, I empty the clipper vac, shop vac, trash can, wipe out the tub, wipe down the back splash and the floor and the salon is ready to go the next day. My clients are always complementing me on my cleanliness, which i believe is very important. As for the exterior I wash it with turtle wax Ice car wash which keeps it looking great. In addition, because of it’s size the salon is easily maneuverable in traffic and when backing into a clients driveway.

In my opinion, Kudos to Pat and Kim for creating and offering an outstanding salon for our furry friends to be pampered and a gold mine for us who are willing to give our services to them.

Why Pay More???

One of the cheap builders commonly asks, “Why pay more?“ GT commonly says,“We’re not the cheapest, we’re the best!”

We get a lot of calls from people who purchase discount grooming trailers. We received ANOTHER one today. The story is usually:

I thought I’d save a few thousand dollars and buy a XYZ grooming trailer and I now know I should have purchased a GT. My trailer won’t work, it is falling apart, and I need someone who can help me.

We feel a little bad for people like this–but not much. This blog alone shows the dangers of choosing the “cheapest” trailers over the best trailers. This blog alone shows the flaws in the discount grooming trailer designs. People who are going into business should be able to discern when a company is selling a horrible product. People who are going into business should understand that buying a piece of garbage to save a few thousand dollars up front isn’t a recipe for success but a recipe for eventually asking GT to bail them out of a fix.

So, when a cheapskate mobile groomer calls GT to say they chose a “GT wannabe” over a GT, and the owner of the conversion company won’t help with the problems, GT isn’t going to drop everything to make people who are unwilling to read feel better about going with the “cheapest” salon.

TIP: If it looks like trash, it IS trash.

..Just think how bizarre it would be for a GT customer to actually call a discount builder for help.

They Just Keep Selling!

So much for taking some time off! Four more grooming trailers are being built this month for some smart groomers. Building a good reputation has always been a goal of ours and nearly all of our sales this year have been the result of happy GT Grooming Trailers customers referring other smart mobile pet groomers. Thank you to all of our customers who have helped GT become what it is.

In addition to being the brand that is touted by the smartest businesspeople in the mobile grooming industry, GT seems to be the company that other grooming trailer converters try to emulate. GT was the first company to design a professional scale salon with an interest in building durable, long-lasting trailers. Companies have come and gone trying to pass off GT clones, some still try to pass them off, but our quality will never be matched.

Super Zoo Fun

As most of our customers know, GT Grooming Trailers won’t display mobile pet salons at trade shows–for many reasons; mostly because we are plenty busy. We usually try to close down for the entire month of September (both GT and our mobile grooming service), but the “bad economy” is actually making us so busy that we can’t even catch many moments to breathe! I believe all of the good conversion companies are swamped right now and mobile grooming is gaining in a kind of popularity that hasn’t been seen since “pizza” switched from being a “shop” industry to a “mobile” industry. Anyone who enters into mobile grooming NOW is SMART!

This year, we decided to visit Las Vegas and visit the Super Zoo trade show. Sure, we attended (a GT customer won a grooming contest!) and visited with other business owners that we’ve come to love. Kim and I did the usual “Vegas” things like have fun, have a lunch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon by helicopter, and eat some chocolate covered strawberries that cost $60 each (honestly, they only tasted like $50 strawberries).

I’ve even perfected my casino strategies and proved to friends and family that my strategies work–left some friends speechless as they watched. Maybe as a gift to future customers, I’ll share my stuff.

I hope to see more GT customers next year! We’d love to treat you to some fun and games! Now back to work.
